Becky Evangelista, Creative Designer at our Manchester studio talks to us about life at isin so far…

“As designers in our industry at this pivotal moment in time we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of consumer experiences through the work that we do.  With more people returning to the high street, this is only going to grow”

When did you join isin?

I joined isin in March 2022. Before that I worked at experiential agency WRG in Manchester followed by freelancing for a number of creative agencies. Joining isin at such an early stage in its growth is special and I feel really privileged to be part of that journey with the team.

You’ve been here for five months now, what are your highlights?

The briefs and the people! All of the projects that come in are really current and super forward thinking, allowing us to really push the boundaries of creativity as designers. Our clients aren’t just looking for us to execute an idea, they are counting on us to show them what they need.

One of my first projects at isin was working with Dr Martens on the All Access Summer brief to bring its Summer collection to stores in the EMEA market. A big part of the design process is generating different creative directions to push the brief as far as possible and my idea is the one we ran with. To see my work in Dr Martens stores across the whole of Europe was amazing, I’ll never get over the feeling of seeing my ideas brought to life in-store. Other projects include the Pride campaign for Vans. I created the upstairs space in the Covent Garden boutique. It was a great feeling to work on something so significant that is driving change for good.

I  have to give a shout out to the team. The people here are really special, all with a shared love of design and progressive mindsets. To be in a company that challenges you and gives you 100% support is really quite amazing. I’ve learned so much and am excited to grow and continue learning with the company.

What does the future hold?

Being a part of the ever-evolving retail market is awesome. As designers in our industry at this pivotal moment in time we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of consumer experiences through the work that we do.  With more people returning to the high street, this is only going to grow.

My background is in experiential events and with such a focus on consumer experience, this knowledge comes in really handy when thinking about how to create fresh, new and engaging experiences. At the heart of it all, I love creating moments for people to enjoy.
